The potatoes are in the ground

The first raised bed is up and running. Got two more to build, but I'm all out of compost for now.

The variety of potatoes are pink fur apple and wilja. A nice waxy salad and a floury baking potato. Got enough space left in the bed for one row of cabbages.

We're finally getting somewhere.

I've build a small bean row, there's only really me that eats runner beans so six poles is plenty.

And last but not least, I've made a small flower bed. 😊 It will look better as time goes on.

Spring! A few garden jobs and snookles.

Sunday is snake cleaning day! It takes me about two hours to clean their homes and waters.

This is Rico the bull snake! He's beautiful! And getting big at 3 years old and 4.5 feet long!

Saturday I made homemade pizza for myself and my partner. It was glorious!
I also managed to find time around the housework to plant one of the two roses I have bought for the garden and measured out the bean row so I can work around it.
While I had the time I also planted one of my rhubarb plants. Just two more rhubarbs, a gooseberry, three raspberries another rose, a peony to plant... And a 12 foot by 10 foot raised bed to build. 😅

Wow... 2024

 Hello!!

I guess its been a while since I posted anything on here.

 Sorry about that.

 Life, work etc.

You know how it goes.

Well, I've changed jobs and moved house a few times over the last 4 or 5 years, but this is home now. Nottingham City.

 I know.

I cant believe I'm in a city either!

Trouble will be eight years old on February 2nd. She's doing well (touch wood) and yes the eagle eyed among you will have noticed a new kitten. This is Magrat, she's an entire year old now and a wonderful little creature.
I'm still baking cakes and breads, just not as much as I used to and I've certainly deep cleaned the kitchen since this photo was taken. ':)
We had our first garden fire the other day, threw some old brambles on the top and I sat with a jack Danial's and coke to tend it.

Bliss!

The garden isn't fantastic in this house, to be honest its gonna be very hard work. The lawn needs levelling and from November last year I started to make a large no dig bed to get started on veg growing. I should be ready for some planting by March.
I can even get a little bit of seed sowing done this season...
So please.
Watch this space. :)
