23 days until butters eggs hatch.

Butters my butter corn snake laid 22 fertile eggs and two slug eggs over a month ago.
It's not too long now until they hatch.

I'm not sure what colour babies we'll get, but its very exciting!

Some of the eggs have 'windows' so I can see inside them a little bit. :D

2019

Well, it's 2019 and I've been through the wringer for the last six months or so. I've been struggling with working far from home, with a dark and long commute by bus and foot through very rough areas that added too much time to my time away from home and just left me exhausted.

I've now left that job and I'm waiting to start a new job with less hours and that is closer to home, I'm making the most of this time with redecorating the house and garden and really enjoying my time at home with all of the animals.

I also got a diagnosis of Asperger's syndrome around six months ago, which has been something to get used to and I've been saddened by a total lack of help from the local Autistic charities in helping me to understand just what sort of help would be out there for me. Seemingly there's none.

Snakes.

My lovely Buttery boy.
Yes I know he's fat. I've changed his food to once every ten days instead of once a week to address this... Isn't he lovely! >_<

Mrs Wiggle has always been shy.

And Bitey Brian is moody as usual.

Today I made double chocolate
chip cookies with maple syrup. Yes they taste as good as they sound. :D No I can't give you the recipe, because I just threw everything into the bowl without looking... Sorry.

On the walk to work this morning.

Catch up.

Sorry I haven't posted in a long time. My temporary job ended recently so I've been busy looking for something new. I've also been battling with a chest infection which has slowed me down.

On a lighter note I've made some progress with Bitey Brian who hasn't tried to bite me the last three times I picked him up. Yey!
About a month ago I had to give up my allotment due to time and energy restraints, which means I have taken quite a step back from my self sufficiency goal. But my health comes first... I guess.
